If you're playing on windows, make sure to go to options and turn down the narrator volume a little, he's really loud. Also, the last 2 instructions in the tutorial are switched, make sure you press middle click and melee the cactus to complete the tutorial.

The recommended way to play is to turn on the narrator and turn off dialog text in options, this will play the narrator continuously while youre moving, and you wont have to press any keys to advance the dialog. The story line is quite important to the game, but not required.

Sometimes you can get stuck in a level. If this happens, press Escape, click on Select Level, and click on your current level. This will reset you to the spawnpoint in your current level.

Make sure to play the tutorial first!

Controls can all be changed in the keybinds menu (Escape -> Options -> Scroll Down -> Configure Keybinds), here are the default controls:

Attack using Left Click

Move with A and D

Jump with Space

Interact with Shopkeeper using E

Use potions using 1, 2 and 3 (left slot is 1, middle slot is 2, right slot is 3, the hotbar shows up when you interact with the shopkeeper for the first time)

Unshrink using U

Cycle melee and ranged attack using Middle Click
